Case in point: They have developed a (somewhat) lifelike new robot for dentists to practice on. Take a look at the video below.
- It was made from the combined efforts of a dental equipment manufacturer and a sex toy company.
- It has a gag reflex.
- It can talk.
- It is terrifying beyond all reason.
Our Thoughts:
Scott - Hahahaha, okay... There's a joke somewhere in that gag reflex.
Bren- Yeah, I'm pretty sure that there has been some exhaustive testing on that gag reflex... if you know what I mean.
Scott- I don't think I can top that.
Bren- ... and I think we can all guess which half of that partnership was primarily involved in those tests.
Don't forget it can talk too. I guess that means that we can expect to overhear wonderful bits of dialogue such as:
"Wow, doctor. No one's ever checked my teeth using that tool before!"
"So it says on my chart that you've come in today to have your teeth whitened..." (too far?)
Scott- "So Doc, are you going to need suction for this procedure?"
Bren- Nice.
"You're teeth aren't the only thing in your mouth that's sensitive"
"This patient needs to be drilled."
Scott- "Okay, I'll need you to hold still for a minute while this hardens"
Bren-"Open wide"
Oh Japan, what will you think of next?

Themed dental robot sets. There could be a french maid, a nurse, school girl, secretary... Your imagination is the limit. Come to think of it, don't let your imagination limit you. Just do a Google image search for "halloween costumes." There you go. Ideas. No imagination necessary.
Competitors -- How about a little something for the lady dentists? Picture this: a male robot that can be programmed to fetch ice cream and give foot massages. Also, it could say phrases like, "Let's just put on sweats and cuddle tonight." It could come in both Ryan Gosling and Robert Pattinson varieties.
